"Your scholarship has been disabled"

Woman of Wonder recently received an email from the WashBoard.org noting that they had disabled our scholarship – because the scholarship is for women.

The WashBoard.org gave us the option of removing this distinction and we declined.

We believe in women’s education.

We’re committed to elevating women.

This is not a discriminatory thing, it is the passion of our founder, who was inspired by the lifelong volunteer work of her mother.

Our scholarship states that we have a preference for single moms, women raised by a single parent, or women on their own with little or no support. Yes, based on our life’s experiences, our preference is to help women succeed. We ask all to remember that we each have preferences, in life, in where we work, in love, where we worship, where we grocery shop, etc.

We welcome you to thoughtfully consider supporting women’s education and Woman of Wonder in this time of great upheaval. That can be your time, your talent, a donation, attending one of our events, or sharing our social media posts.

With your support, we look forward to the rising tide that lifts us all.

We’re including the email we received below.

Applications are now being accepted through our Google Form - found here: https://forms.gle/K3nkHubqANqWAKWt5
